Is Asus DSL-N55U an DSL router or adsl

[link to this post]

Hi, it might sound like a stupid question as DSL is in the name, but when I look at the specs it only lists adsl and I am confused.
I have a DSL connection at the moment and was looking to buy a Asus DSL-N55U

It has an ADSL/ADSL2+ modem built into it. There is no Ethernet WAN port.

Thus not suitable for use with cable broadband or a FTTC based service, but fine for an ADSL or ADSL2+ based service.

Actually, a new firmware does allow it to be used on FTTC. One of the ethernet ports becomes a WAN port.
