AVM Fritzbox 7430 vs OR modem and MikroTik RB2011

[link to this post]

So, I've been testing few different bits of hardware and I'm seeing some really weird results with my fritzbox, just wondering if anyone else had seen such odd behaviour, the first half of this graph is the fritzbox, second half the MikroTik with Openreach modem.

My Broadband Ping

There seems to be a 4 hour cycle of increasing packet loss:

I've messed with the fritzbox settings as much as I could, the interface isn't particularly friendly so maybe someone could point me in the right direction if there is something I'm doing wrong.

When I've got the music, I've got a place to go.

This is normal for a Fritz!Box when more than one monitor (BQM,F8lure etc) is running.

That makes sense, it's monitored on TBB and Zen have smoke ping running (and it has two SNMP servers trying to monitor it) do you know if you can change settings not to restrict ping or is this a hard limitation?

In all the lack of SNMP is pretty frustrating but the drop in latency and far superior wifi makes me want to make the fritzbox work.

It only seems to be a problem with IPv4 ICMP pings. Use your IPv6 address.
(& perhaps even LCP pings. I don't know much about these, but it's what AAISP use for their CQM)

LCP echo request / reply can only be done by the two endpoints of the PPP connection - usually your router and the ISP gateway.
