Asus basic Config:
Wan connection Type: PPPoE
Enable Wan: Yes
Enable NAT: Yes
Enable UPnP: No
So it isn't acting as a bridge?

I'm guessing the Asus WAN interface may usually be unnumbered when using PPP, but by assigning it a static address within the same subnet as the modem, this also creates a route so the modem becomes reachable.

Hi RobertoS Iím on a learning curve here I have uploaded images to Photobucket and hopefully linked to them.

Vigor 130
Are all these screen shots from the Vigor only or are there some Asus ones mixed in there too?

I think that may be the result of this configuration, another option is to manually specify a route in the routing table of the Asus

Oh I see, the first 2 are the Vigor and the next 4 are the Asus. Very confusing wink
