HG612 PPPoE with TalkTalk ADSL

[link to this post]

Has anybody been able to use a HG612 modem with an ADSL line...

I wanted to set it up like it would be with FTTC...

The modem just terminates the xDSL and then the router connected deals with the authentication process?

Best Regards,
Matt.

On a BT line......if the router does the pppoe then that may have to support any "special" type login. (or am i thinking of sky)

The default configuration will train down to ADSLx if that's what it receives. (As seen in unlocked versions where the unlockers have not touched that setting).

The PPPoE/A is in the router.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. Sync 71288/12440Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6
