I have been using a BT Smart Hub for quite a while and so far have had no issues at all with it. Have split the wireless to use different SSIDs for 2.4 and 5Ghz but otherwise haven't really changed anything.

Agreed, havenít had to do the WiFi split thing, it just works ... and that is exactly what I want from my various gizmos.

I dare say Iíll get shouted down, but why not just go the obvious route ?

Why does that link show pictures of a Youview box, apparently unopened?

I've recently had delivered the new Billion BiPAC 8800AXL R2 and I can highly recommend it. Good BDCM chipset and decent WiFi.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Stupid question - but what am I looking for to say any unit is a combined modem router?

Ain't such a thing as a stupid question.

Look for ADSLx/VDSLx in the routers description.

ADSLx for normal broadband and VDSLx for fibre.
