Re: New VDSL Router

Just a quick update,

I rang Now TV to complain about the supplied Hub, and frankly the cost...

They have sent me an updated Dual Band Hub 2 (their model) and have reduced my monthly cost.

So for now I will stick with what I have, and with Now TV and see how it goes.

Thanks for ALL the support, as and when I do move I know what to get and who to go with now

smile

CJT.

If the issue remains that the connection speed is good, but wireless is poor then adding a decent Wi-FI access point is the way to go, then in the future you an change ISP but your wireless access point remains untouched

That MrS is an excellent idea.

So far (apart from something odd) the new router seems better. The "odd" bit is that both the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks share the same SSID.

WRT coverage, I'm in a very small flat (what you now call a Studio) so I can only assume the old router just had poor coverage overall.

I'll see how it goes.

One curious thing is to do with Speed, but I'll post in the Sky Forum as Now TV are part of them.

Thanks again.

CJT.

With the VMG8924-B10A you can configure different SSIDs for 2.4 and 5 GHz should like me, you want to. smile

Morning

That would be my intention going forward. For now the new Now TV Hub 2 is holding out.

Just need to get onto them and see why my speeds are "capped"
