BT Consumer tripe info about their hubs

[link to this post]

Our latest BT Hub 5 and BT Smart Hub have four Gigabit ports. These ports are 10 times faster than Ethernet ports
Link. I wonder if they also take 10 days to train (sync). As in 10 daysí training LOL.

(Yes, I know Ethernet doesn't work like xDSL smile).

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. 200GB. Sync 69686/12665Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6

Hmm, seems BT don't understand that "Ethernet" is not a defined speed and seem to think Ethernet is always 100Mb/s. I wonder what they think "gigabit" ports run over within the switches - presumably they think it isn't Ethernet.

They also don't seem to know that Ethernet goes back a very long time with varying cable technologies and speeds.
