MAC request and any fees?

[link to this post]

Hello All

FTTC goes live in my area on 30th June and I am likely to switch providers. I'm currently with UKFSN and if I request my MAC code now does that constitute as me giving my 30 days notice to migrate away and I have 30 days to use the MAC code? If I don't use the MAC code within that 30 days then it expires and I must request a new one plus30 days notice again but my service will remain live if I don't use the code - is that right?

Are there any fees associated with migrating to another FTTC provider?

Thanks
Nicky

We do not require 30 days notice. If you request a MAC using it to migrate to another ISP (so long as they do actually use it for the migration) satisfies the notice requirements.

UKFSN has never charged for a MAC.

Are you aware that we are offering FTTC services?

Thanks for the info....

Yeah I've see the FTTC services you provide and I would certainly switch since I've always had rock solid service but the packages don't really suit me. If you were able to offer a service which was about 20 GB peak usage with the same off peak times for about 25-28 quid inc vat then that would be ideal. Shame really frown

Could more packages be in the pipeline?

A complete new set of FTTC packages is in my hands now for a "soft launch trial" from Enta.

I need to do a little work to prepare for the launch which will be Wednesday this week.

While I cannot release specific details just yet I can say that I am confident that we will have a service that will very much meet what you are asking for.

Excellent..... I'll keep an eye out for the packages/prices and see if they meet what I'm after.
