You may have seen, read or heard the news that O2 Home Broadband and BE Unlimited are being sold to Sky. We thought it would be helpful to explain what this means to the availability of O2 Wholesale LLU broadband from Entanet. Q: Will this O2 (Telefónica UK)/Sky transaction affect your existing Entanet O2 Wholesale based LLU services/connections?
A: No. The sale announced today affects O2 consumer broadband only. It is just O2 Home Broadband and BE Unlimited consumer customers who will be moving to Sky. O2 Wholesale partners including Entanet and their customers are being retained within O2 Wholesale and will still receive the same levels of service and support from O2.
Q: Does the sale include the O2 broadband network asset?
A: Yes it does. However, this doesn’t mean that you will see any changes in the next 12 months. This network serves both consumer and wholesale customers and only the consumer customers will be migrated as a result of this sale. O2 Wholesale customers will be retained on the existing network and serviced by the same O2 service team. O2 Wholesale will be reviewing options for its long-term network options in the next 12 months.
Q: Are you able to continue to sell Entanet’s O2 Wholesale based LLU services to existing and new customers?
A: Yes, Entanet’s current LLU services remain unchanged and we will continue to be served by the existing O2 Wholesale service and provisioning teams for the foreseeable future.
