I was just about to come in and ask the same question, its currently coming up with a port 143 error. I've also tried logging in under two different wifi network locations and on different devices so I've ruled out a problem at my end.

The email service has been upgraded and moved to a new server.

The new server will allow you to relay email via the service if you are connected via a UKFSN broadband connection (so long as Enta or Daisy are correctly reporting the IP address to us) or you authenticate the connection using SMTP authentication.

I am aware of reports from 2 customers that they are having trouble sending email. So far I have determined that one customer simply isn't connecting to our server and I am currently checking for the second customer.

We are having trouble sending email now. Is there an ETA as to when this upgrade work is completed and whether we have to change any settings to get our devices enabled to send email?

I have emailed jason via another mail account as i have not been able to access the webmail (port 143 error) with no response.

after the login page turned to lots of empty boxes i emailed again with no response.

after a bit more googling - on jasons twitter feed is this post:

ukfsn webmail is https://mail.ukfsn.org

tried it and it resolves to a roundcube powered version of ukfsn webmail.

so try that wink

when you see this jason, i feel a bit let down - slightly by the lack of email response but more importantly by the lack of info on the wider web - if this has been a more widespead issue it helps reduce the customer annoyance if they know it is a problem that is being worked on.

all that said, i have always felt the service you provide is a large step above the callcentre based horrors of my previous isps!

The old webmail service has not been migrated to the new email platform yet. I had expected to get everything done over the weekend however migration of the web service ran into some very serious problems and I had to spend all available time resolving those. That is now done.

There is a new webmail service at https://mail.ukfsn.org/ which will be the recommended web mail service from now. The old web mail service will be restored as soon as I can sort out a couple of blocking issues and get the UKFSN website moved over.

Please accept my apologies for not replying sooner.
