I discovered here that other UKFSN users have had or are having problems with email - I looked at the thinkbroadband forums when I was no longer able to send mail (port 587).
I also discovered that my web site (hosted with them) no longer works (built on modx), nor can I access the related mysql database. Nor has Jason replied to my email enquiry.
I have been a UKFSN customer for a many years and haven't experience this level of disruption before.
I image that Jason is having major problems with his servers, but it's now two weeks since I've lost my outbound email and web site, so I am wondering if there is any news or if anyone knows what is happening?

I guess that's it then for UKFSN - Jason finally gave up the battle. Shame.
Time to move on. Can anyone recommmend a good web hosting and email hosting... company?

Well he may be struggling on for a while as a Sole Trader, but I very much doubt his hosting facilities will continue for long. Maybe they went first!
I think I have sussed the date anomaly. All such information is officially published in The London Gazette, that requires two days notice. So maybe that is the date it will appear there.

In case you or anyone else is wondering what happens about your broadband, it depends if Jason is around and helpful or not.
If he doesn't appear, nor communicate by email, Entanet themselves usually either take you over as a direct customer, or make it easy to move to a different Entanet reseller of your choice, without the need for a MAC.
Or of course - issue a MAC if you prefer.

if it were me I would inform my customers so they can get their data. Not just be silent and poof their data gone forever.

I have been using Xilo's hosting / email for a while now and thoroughly happy to recommend them, no problems, easy to set up and use etc

FYI, I have removed all of my web service files and data for security as well as actively looking for a new email service provider.
Regards letting customers know what is happening, I completely agree with Chrysalis! If it wasn't for this forum (and especially RobertoS), I would be more in the dark than I am.

He may not have access to it. The hosts may have pulled the plug. The apparent fact that the OP's website is down suggests that.
