Yeah, got to get away from Enta now. Had a good couple of years, but the last six months been hellish. 400 miles north in our other property and even the EE here is better than Enta, which says a lot. Back down to my Suffolk property next week. Just switched the phone line down there ready to move from Enta. Zen line been good and cheap, but their broadband expensive. My cab was wired to the adjacent fibre cab over three months ago, with switch on detailed for next month, so will have the choice of ADSL2+ 24mb or fibre from Pulse8, with even the fibre option cheaper than what I am paying now.
Another Enta packet loss fan lol http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/share/9c0ab536e12...

Got my MAC today and away from Enta. Just too much packet loss and outages. Got an email this morning stating that Enta have three more routers to replace, that have been refusing to take connections for months. Network seems stretched and failing.

Reading in to that NOC notice, i think your find the devices have been purposefully taken out of service to stop them taking connections so there is minimal users to boot off once they are killed off to be upgraded.

Itís just badly worded by Steve. Not defending Enta but thatís the way i read it and the way we would have done it.

But Yes there network is showing its age.

Well, the wording was, that they were faulty, would not accept connections for months and were to be replaced over today and tomorrow I believe, stating there would be minimal interruption as only about 100 connections on them. Either way, a disconnect for me again this morning to add to peak packet loss, so possibly I am one of the 100, but switching away next wednesday as they are simply not what they were two and a half years ago when I joined.

Hey dude,

Not in the NOC notice unless i am going blind..

"replacing the following routers with new much more powerful devices"

I agree with you, we lost faith in them along time ago and built our own L2TP network on the back of Zen. Slowly migrating the poor souls left on Entanet.

Less of the "Dude", it makes you sound what you probably are. I was talking about the wording of the email I received from Freeola, or are you going blind. Heard enough of your "our own L2TP network" ...'Dude'

Yeah, usual evening packet loss here this evening, along with another service drop earlier today.

No packet loss on the BQM but downloads pretty poor. I have changed my download testing regime to single thread downloads. The checker downloads 3 files and takes an average. Currently 5 meg from Netherlands 2 files and about 2 meg from tbb files.
