Hi

If you would like to PM with your ADSL install number then I will check the status of your account and get a member of the team to contact you.

Well, just to update this thread....

Helen has been in contact with me via PM to get my problem sorted (praise to her for responding in a timely fashion). However, my account as of today is still not closed, nor do I have my refund for the extra month I have been charged.

Hopefully this won't go on too much longer, or they'll be taking another months money!

The first thing you should do when migrating is cancel your direct debit. That way the ball is in their court if they think they can justify any more money from you.............

Well look on the bright side...

They also appear to still be charging me even though I left months ago and to top it off I received an email a few days ago informing me that they are apparently going to regrade me to an LLU service sometime between tomorrow & the next few days!

Now considering that I specifically regraded from an f2s LLU service (because

I wonder if that's the Pipex LLU service they are trying to move people onto...

Probably... I'm quite surprised that no one here has mentioned receiving a similar email yet.

It reads....

Dear Jaw

Re. Your ADSL Line Number:

Local Loop Unbundling

Over the next few months, freedom2surf will be changing some customer connections to be Local
Loop Unbundled. This simply means that f2s will utilise improved technology within the telephone
exchange to manage the broadband service from the exchange to the customer.s premises. In future,
f2s will be able to offer faster speeds and improved products and services.

Benefits include:

* Enhanced service resiliency
* Future speed capability of up to 24Mb*
* Greater flexibility in the range of services f2s will be able to offer

############################################
Your service ..... will be transferred to our LLU service between:

3 and 12 July 2006
#############################################

How will the implementation of LLU affect your Broadband service?

During the programme, you may experience a short outage of five to ten minutes when this work
reaches your exchange.

It is possible that you may be unable to access your Broadband service immediately after the work has
been carried out. If this happens, simply power-down your modem or router and leave it switched off
for at least 30 minutes. Then switch your modem/router back on and the service should connect as
usual. If you are still experiencing problems after performing this process, please request technical
assistance from the f2s LLU Helpdesk by calling 0870 386 0400.

We appreciate your patience during this period and apologise in advance for any inconvenience this
may cause you.

For further information, please look at our LLU Frequently Asked Questions.

Regards,

Broadband Team
freedom2surf

* Actual speeds are dependant on the distance from the exchange and condition of the line.

If I remember rightly f2s took about 2 months to unbundle you last time Jaw, and that's when you were actually a customer of theirs!

I get the feeling that they may be being a tad optimistic giving a few days notice and that's why they're practising on ex customers. I'll keep an eye out for my email

Thanks for posting that. It would make sense it being Pipex LLU, especially with them talking about 24Mb/sec which there has been no sign of using Easynet (although they did say there could be when they started using Easynet). I don't understand why Pipex/F2S hasn't released a list of Pipex LLU exchanges yet though - Samknows doesn't have a list either.

Edit: Did the email include a link to these LLU FAQ's because I can't find them?
