For anyone from Derry, N.Ireland

So they are connecting up the whole town to Fibre, I'm guessing this is FTTC as £3million doesn't sound enough to install a full town to FTTP?

*EDIT*
Just found another news story about it, its FTTC, all cabinets done for Autumn smile

Errrm tongue.

I'm sure it is good news for Derry residents, but has anyone any idea what the final sentence of the article has to do with it?

I think that Bangor and possibly Balmoral were a apart of the BT rollout, all the rest were part of the local government initiative - Bangor is the flagship exchange!

Ahhh. Because of your post I googled Bangor exchange and all becomes clear.

Bangor as understood by most people is of course nothing to do with it, hence the apparent oddness of it being mentioned in the article.

Basically it's pointing out that we're the trendsetters and in Londonderry they get it late.
