Speed test & port 80

[link to this post]

If I run a speed test using the default port 8095 everything works fine and I can choose detailed output or not. However, if I choose Port80 then it starts by greying out the boxes - as expected, the first time of text comes up:

Do not use your connection until the test has finished.

And it sits there - no data downloaded or anything.

Same PC, same switch, same local network except the 2wire 2700HGV changed to 2701HGV-C

Any ideas?

New or second-hand 2701HGV-C?

If second-hand, have you used it before and does normal browsing work?

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - O2 Standard.

Brand new! straight out of the box - and set up (apart from modem function) the same as the 2700. Everything works fine - except as noted elsewhere finalising TBB forum pages (and one or two other sites I have now found) and speedtest through port 80.

If you trust you connection, try a speedtest with security disabled. My first thought is prot forwarding, but that would affect all port 80 traffic, no?

Message to the mods:

Don't you hate it that you can't disable sigs? Ha Ha!

Tried that ... It just sits there waiting, no traffic coming down ...

Interestingly it was working fine up until Tuesday when I moved from ADSL2+ to FTTC/Infinity ...

Problem is on FF and IE and across several different PCs.
