No router is provided by Aquiss, however a free VDSL2 Active modem is supplied. We recommend either the Zyxel NBG460N, Netgear WGR614 or Netgear WNR1000 to work alongside the supplied free VDSL modem to extend home network setups, such as wireless requirements.

If you contact Aquiss I am sure they will advise you of their preferences and why.

They seem to be very accommodating with all the questions I have asked them. smile

Any cable router that supports PPPoE should work just fine.

I have a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH, which has been excellent (I am also on Aquiss). Robertos has one too, but not this model (I think he has the WZR-HP-G300N, but I could be wrong).

I bought a Linksys E3000 when I swapped to Aquiss FTTC and I am very impressed with it so far.

I wanted Gigabyte ethernet, simultaneous dual band WIFI and the reliability of Linksys/Cisco so although it wasn't the cheapest I decided it was worth it as I am a heavy user and very reliant on my internet connection.

I'm on IDNet but that's irrelevant - got one of these. Went live 18 Feb and perfect so far.

Prices vary day to day, mine was £23.56 with free delivery, they've been as high as £28.99 since, yesterday was £23.40.

Also available around £20 plus delivery from eBuyer.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - IDNet Home Starter Fibre.
