FTTC - RFS Date set

[link to this post]

This is current info for my Rayleigh exchange, according to http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/EARAY

BT Wholesale information ADSL status: Enabled as of 30/09/2000
ADSL Max status: Enabled as of 31/03/2006
SDSL status: Enabled as of 21/08/2005
21CN WBC status: Enabled as of 30/09/2009
FTTC status: RFS date set : 01/12/2011

Does this mean Fibre Optic will be available for internet connection from 01/12/2011?

Accoring to Samknows, my exchange is not FTTC enabled or even has a RFS date but in reality, my local CAB went live last week and I have my order placed.

Check the BT Wholesale Checker and see what it says about a RFS date for your exchange.

No, That date can move backwards and forwards at will.

Mine has gone from 2010 to March 2011, then 1st July 2011, then 30th Sept 2011.

2 Days ago the cabinet went in, now i take it we have to wait for the power/wiring, and thats on South benfleet exchange.

Plus you should do a check on you Tel number, as not all cabinets in any Exchange area are going over to FTTC, at least in the first stage.
