What happens if you don't have a green cabinet?

As far as I can tell, my line goes straight into the exchange - i.e. no green cabinet to install new kit)
While this is great for ADSL2(+), it's left me a little confused about a FTTC deployment.

FTTC is supposed to be coming this September, so does anyone know what BTO do in these situations?

If you are connected direct to the exchange, then nothing will change for you I'm afraid. FTTC is not available if you're not fed from a cabinet. If you PM me your postcode, I'll tell you smile

Noooooo!
So people down the road can get 40Mbps and I'd be 'stuck' with 24Mbps?

I suppose it's payback for having a faster line for all this time... wink

I wish I was stuck with 24Mbps. I've just been switched to FTTC and can still only get 15Mbps.

I'd love to be stuck at 24 - but, no cabinet means no FTTC - it doesn't mean you won't get FTTP from the exchange or VDSL on your exchange connection (depending on how far that is).
