Goscomb FTTC

What does anybody know about this company ?

Their FTTC packages seem very competitive. No traffic shaping ?

All seems too good to be true ?

Maybe, but 80 Gig for 30 quid compares very well with other ISPs (assuming there's no traffic shaping etc)

Superb ISP, AAISP-esque! I had a BT (spit) ip-stream 8128/832 kbps connection with them until TalkTalk LLU'd my exchange last September so was forced to leave them to get higher speeds. They do NOT traffic shape and are a L2TP Entanet ISP...basically they pre-purchase bandwidth from Enta so no stupid ALT tool (or whatever Enta call it these days). I used to get speedtests of 7meg with them pretty much 24/7. Once i lost my connection at about 10pm on a Saturday...called their support tel number immediately and Mr Goscomb answered the phone himself...think he was having dinner at a west end restaurant! Anyway he called me back in 20 mins saying there was a BT fibre break near Edinburgh...how's that for service on a Saturday night! Was almost in tears when i left them frown

(BTW their prices do not include VAT)

TalkTalk Plus LLU ADSL2+ connected @ 17612/1019 kbps
Attenuation 27db down / 9db up
Noise Margin 3.3 db down / 12db up
