Thank you for the update.

I was staying with a friend this weekend in a small East Yorkshire village, called Foston on the Wolds. After telling him about FTTC, we drove through the village looking for their green cabinets and could find none. The BT number checker definitely does not indicate anything for them.

Does the lack of green cabinets (old style ones), indicate that they are on a slightly different mechanism?

Are the ever going to get FTTC speeds?

Still not even on the "future Exchanges" list ...

I see that Helston and Newquay are on both "Soon" and "Future" ... from memory the Helston is served by two exchanges.

Helston - Horse and Jockey for the best pasties, though we usually get ours from their Porthleven shop.

Beeford isn't listed in any, so it's some way off. The only reason for a lack of cabinets is if the area is close to the exchange or served by very long connections direct to the exchange. Given that I'm also guessing Foston isn't that big, there may be only one or two and well hidden.
