First Cabs!

[link to this post]

First FTTC cabinets have started appearing in the village of Sandford upon Thames (linked to the Cowley exchange in Oxford).

Lets hope that their activation doesn't drop behind schedule!

For those on the Cowley exchange SMCO wondering if anything is happening.

Plenty of Openreach vans out today (seconded from outside the area - i stopped to ask) to help with putting in yellow tubing.

No news from the guys on when things might go live, but as they aren't "local" engineers they said they weren't in the know (which is fair).

So that's why Openreach are so far behind in their roll-outs!

They're seconding their engineers for gas work and blocking their ducts with gas mains!

More seriously though is it likely to be continuous rod for clearing blockages?

I had a peek at an open duct later and it was all black stuff.
