FTTC RFS Dates Slip

[link to this post]

Originally, all the exchanges I checked randomly had an RFS (Ready For Service) on the 1st March 2012.

I've just checked a load of them on samknows, and all the exchanges I checked previously now all say RFS 31st December 2012.

Funny thing is, I also had a 21CN RFS date for 2010 which also slipped back. It eventually turned into no plans to upgrade.

Check your exchange RFS for FTTC guys, see if it's also slipped for you.

My exchange has also just slipped back from 01/03/2012 now to 31/12/2012.

I guess I have no chance that i`ll see FTTC ready for me to use sometime next year.

Just checked my exchange and yes it's slipped to 31 Dec 2012 - how very disappointing but then no less than you'd expect from BT Openreach frown

BT do not set dates that far out. I suspect ASKSAM has defaulted everything with no firm date in 2012 to December.

The official BT list only gives dates out to MARCH 2012 currently

Well It is also saying the same thing on the kitz.co.uk ADSL Line Checker.

I take it both samknows and kitz.co.uk use the same BT database or etc to get broadband avalibilitay info?

Take anything on other sites with a pinch of salt

The Link below should be the most accurate data

My exchange (Mortlake) has apparently been ready for service for a while but my actual line keeps slipping back. It initially was set to be 30 June, then 14 July, then as that approached it would be 28 July - it kept going back and back until now it's sitting at 31 Dec 2011. I started a google doc to keep track of it but should have done so earlier!

Lots of continued changes in the roll out timescales as more info comes to hand such as power network, access duct network quality, local authority planning etc. Even though the dates have gone back it is likely some cabs will be RFSed on the exchange before the official date.
