BT Wholesale checker changes!

[link to this post]

Just happened to check the BT Wholesale checker (to check for any updates) which used to read:

Your cabinet is planned to have WBC FTTC by 31st December 2011. Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 33.8Mbps and upstream line speed of 13.3Mbps.

...And now that same exact message has disappeared! Whats going on?!

Should I be worried? Is this a sign telling me that BT have scrapped upgrading my cab? (even though its physically installed in its position and according to londonworks.gov.uk website, the power is going in this week)

The checker says nothing (and never has) for my line despite the cabinet being installed over the past few weeks. My exchange is in the "future exchanges" list.

But then Openreach seems to think it is getting FTTP now rather than FTTC which is what it used to say (in those lists).

I don't think anyone knows what is happening and when.

My exchagne has been enabled for FTTC since September. All the documents released show my cab being enabled for FTTC (Including the document that shows 100% of lines connecting to cab 5 as being enabled) on 31st December 2011.

hi

where did you find the info about your actual cab? the same has happened to me for the checker website. I would really like to know what cab i am on, as it could be one of two cabs which my line goes to.

Remember that we are now in the "quaint" period 2-3 weeks before an end-of-quarter.

This is the time that the checker traditionally changes all the "End of December" dates into "End of March" dates.

It is not unusual for those changes to also cause some dates to disappear for a short while - perhaps a few hours, or perhaps a couple of dates.
