FTTP possible here?

[link to this post]

Can anyone check if E14 9JU is likely to get FTTP anytime soon?

Our development doesn't use street cabs and our lines are effectively direct to the exchange, so not much chance of getting FTTC from what I understand.

Thanks for any help.

One big difference between the spreadsheet that appeared in May and the one from December was the inclusion of the data for "Exchange Only" lines: There were no such lines included in the original spreadsheet at all.

The new (pair of) spreadsheets includes data for Exchange-Only lines, in that it shows the postcode areas supplied that way.

However, every single EO postcode description shows *no* support for either FTTC or FTTP.

But, even though there is a column labelled "Exchange Only Flag", and this column takes values of "0" or "1", the header has a get-out clause saying "PLEASE NOTE: Postcodes which map to Exchange Only Lines are not shown in this report." Take your pick as to whether the data is reliable!

E14 9JU doesn't appear in the list at all.

It is not an Openreach FTTP area, so no unless some other provider e.g Hyperoptic

Poplar is FTTC only and only then if your cab has been enabled

BT where considering putting FTTP into the base of tower blocks like hyperoptic. So could see this happen over the next few years.

Already happening on Isle of Dogs plus a few other places, presumably will expand coverage once trial has completed.
