How long?

What's the longest distance from an exchange OpRe will run fbre to a new fibre cabinet?

It's really only for urban areas with a large number of users at an exchange as far as OpRe are concerned isn't it?

The digital divide is getting larger, the fast get faster and the rest pay more proportionately for slower connections.


2Mbps sync now that's becoming a joke with the type of web pages in use, it was OK two years ago but not know. frown

Longest I've heard of is 12 miles, i.e. fibre can run from cabinet to another exchange if they want to do that.

technically i believe there is no real limit using amplifiers or/and repeaters.

I think you will find plenty of examples where this is not the case, I'm one of them.
