I don't think it work's using your own router for fibre. Have a look at the post at the bottom of this link http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-broadband-fibre-h...

Regards Carlisle Newbie

There is supposed to be a beta firmware (could be released by now) that allows the Billion 7800 to work with the SKY FTTC (similar to the slightly incompatible MER authentication in their ADSL).

I believe FritzBox and similar would work as well.

Ex <n>ildram , been to SKY MAX - 15,225 Download
BE Unlimited - 21,000 Download 1,200 Upload,
Moved house, now BE Unlimited 6,500 Down, 1Mb/s up - gutted!
FTTC Cab installation commenced 12th April - expect full 80 / 20 - bye bye BE, hello BT Infinity soon!

Do you mean this?

http://www.billion.uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=382

if so it should be noted that it appiers to be billion themselves trying to do it and it has nothing to do with sky, if that is the case then its against the T&C's but then sky dont appier to care at tthe momment (at least with adsl)

some people (Mainly ISP's but some other people as well) have access to the pcp database, there was a leaked version of it some months ago (december i belive) but it only had a handfull of carlisle cabs on it, i belive that is the data that the "make it up and [censored]" paper used as a base for that stupid story they ran about how bad the rollout was.

The current version has never been leaked so im guessing that openreach has layed down the law so to speak.

if u dont get a answer here theres a chap called james who works for adsl24 (http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/showprofile.php?User=Adsl24&Board=otherisp&Number=4128422&what=showflat&vc=1) from what ive seen in other posts he is quite knolageable and willing to help whenever he can, give him a message and he might be able to help

Sky FTTC .... Well when it gets here and considering i can see the site for the cab from my bedroom window im expecting the full 40meg
