shreswsbury FTTC Why not my CAB

[link to this post]

Shrewsbury exchange started taking orders this week but my cab 58, which was installed in late november for some reason is still showing as not available until 30th March. Other cabs are.
I went to look at it today , all seems well

Is there anyone out there who might be able to find out the reason for the delay? I would contact open reach but we are not allowed to.

Sure is powered, could still be waiting for power or another constraint.

Where about is this cab in Shrews? Might be able to help a little more.

Hi, I am in Shrewsbury too.

What area are you talking about?

When I check the infinity website it also says 31-March-2012 for me too.

Also how do you check what cab you are on? My phoneline goes underground at the pole, I know I am on the Shrewsbury exchange and not Harlescott though.

assuming you are actually on the cab concerned (may not be nearers cab to you youare serviced from) then there is likley to be a copper or power challenge which is causing delay and if that is case that will affect the cab live date

Probably the duct network. Issues getting the fibre cable in often mean there are delays whilst it gets sorted out. If you walk past the cab and see reinstated trenching from the left hand side then the power is in.

Shoud be lucky you have a cab! I have number 92, next to the golf driving range just down from monkmoor. No new cab for me ;( I asked an engineer by the police station what the issue was and he said there was a blockage in the ducts. Appears my estate will miss out frown Openreach tells me end of march but I hold no hope now as it appears all the fttc cabs have been installed arounds hrewsbury

OR will arrange for works to clear the block ducts, once they have been cleared the fibre will be blown to the cab, just a delay.
