Attainable rate drops with phone

[link to this post]

I was logged into the VDSL2 modem today and noticed the Attainable Rate and SNR dropped slightly, when I checked why I noticed someone was on the phone and when then hanged up the attainable rate when back to normal.

Was just wondering if that was normal?

SNRM will also probaly drop a couple of decimal points when the phone is in use.

I had an issue a while back when SNRM would drop by 3 or 4 dB (or more) when the phone was in use. Error counts also started to mount quicker than usually.

That was not so good for my connection that used to hover around 4dB DS SNRM at that time.
I even occasionally saw negative SNRM values, usually immediately followed by the connection re-syncing.

BT replaced my drop wire from the pole along with the complete master socket.

That seemed to cure that issue & actually gave me a slight increase in sync speeds & slightly increased stability to boot, with DS SNRM now hovering around 6dB
