FTTC and 21CN

[link to this post]

The BT Wholesale checker refers to FTTC as "WBC FTTC". Does this mean that the exchange becomes WBC-enabled for non-FTTC lines at the same time?

No, the fibre can all go through 1 exchange in the area which has WBC.

For eg my exchange NILDW hasn't got 21CN WBC yet... the fibre all goes via another exchange nearby NILDM which has.

My exchange is due to have 21CN WBC by 31st March though...

So according to the checker the non-21CN SWMES is due to be FTTC'd on the 31st of this month, but the fibre may come from the 21CN-enabled SWNE/CH?

Yes. Most FTTC areas are grouped together at a common headend/ handover point in one exchange.
