thanks for all the help so far.

Can I pay for BT / SKy to install a line from a different cabinet that is enabled.

Scott

ps everyone on here is so helpful - thanks.

Not so far as I am aware!

%here are plans for FTTP on demand (or somewhere similar) but I believe that is planned for FTTC covered areas only.

You need to get as many people to express interest, speak to local council etc.

and wait!

Ex <n>ildram , been to SKY MAX - 15,225 Download
BE Unlimited - 21,000 Download 1,200 Upload,
Moved house, now BE Unlimited 6,500 Down, 1Mb/s up - gutted!
FTTC Cab installation commenced 12th April - expect full 80 / 20 - bye bye BE, hello BT Infinity soon!

Get in touch with the MP for Burton Andrew Griffiths and ask him to look into it that's what I did when I first heard Stretton was going to miss out on the faster Boardband

512kb down, convenient, almost looks like it's capped at that speed. Have you tried any Sky support forums or even phoned them for support? If you're moving and have a few houses in mind, make sure you check their postcode to see if they can get fibre installation. smile

Still waiting for the BT wholesale site to show that I am live on Cab 17 (on dallow bridge). Still showing 30 June even though the new FTTC cab has been up for few weeks and they did extensive work near the CAB last week by having temp traffic lights on while the road and pavement right near the cab were dug up.

Just can't wait to end my 1mbps nightmare!!

I believe Kingsmead currently falls under one of the areas of Stretton which cannot get access to FTTC. It certainly didn't last time I checked as I was looking at property in that street.

If you can give me your postcode I will 100% check for you.

Have you put your Telephone number in the checker on this link ? https://www.btwholesale.com/pages/static/Community/B...

Me again from near the town hall.. I received my fibre router today from Sky, so it looks like they do cover Burton (a bit relieved about that; I was sure they'd cancel as they sent an automated email out of the blue saying my phone number wasn't covered by them).

When I upgraded through Sky's site I used my address rather than phone no. as it's a Sky number and has never worked on dsl checkers, even Sky's.
