So in today's Burton mail they are saying some areas of Horninglow,Brizlincote valley and Stretton are now eligible For Superfast broadband speeds

Properties in the lower end of the village have indeed gone live, princess way by the football stadium for example, just a case of keep checking daily we shouldn't be far behind now smile

Where do you check to see if your street is live is it that BT link where you put your home number in? I live in Gordon street horninglow and when I put my number in it states the 30 June date and says the line is security enabled to receive high speed Internet or something with max speed of 69.7mbps

I work for a partner of BT/Openreach so I have access to certain information which is not available via the standard line checkers etc.

However it is pretty easy to find if other areas are live. If you know other people who live in the area you can check their phone number.

or

Use a business, for example a certain shop in lower stretton, just check their phone number on the ADSL tracker and it confirms the service is live.

The site below the best one to use but it will continue to state 30th June Until it actually goes live, as this is the place holder date for the whole area.

Just followed your advice and put my sisters number in who lives on Beech Lane Stretton behind the footy ground and there is no mention of FTTC!!

Did the same for another relative who lives on Wyggeston Street not far from the hospital and that does show the FTTC date but again it's 30/06/12

If you want to post your sisters postcode I can check if it is scheduled to receive FTTC.

Another poster on this thread who lives by the hospital has gone live so hopefully your relative will not be far behind.

I think there's a difference between having it displaying June on the wholesale checker and it not showing any Fibre planned at all?

If it isn't there at all, then surely that means there isn't even a new cabinet there... which would leave it unpredictable of when the area would get fibre.

I'm afraid its not good news currently for your sister there are no plans for her Cab to be FTTC enabled a present sorry. Appears she would get good speeds between 72 - 80 meg so must be quite close to one. Not sure why no Cab is planned for this area it can be various things such as planning, lack of demand or funds. But it may well be installed at a later date so just have to keep checking..

You are on Cab 17 and 100% lines are getting FTTC from so good news. Speeds from this estimate between 55 - 76 meg depending on distance etc. Sorry I don't know exact dates when they will be live as mentioned but shouldn't be long now.
