BT/Openreach bizarre/out of date database!

[link to this post]

Cabinet activated, checker and Infinity email confirming FTTC.

Plan A in to action, leave O2 sign up to Sky (Talk and BB) ready for their fibre rollout next month.........wait for it.........suddenly I'm unable to get FTTC according to BT's checker. I know their address checker is flaky but it seems that because Sky now supply telephone line I have fallen off the radar. I know I'm on cabinet 48 (openreach wireman confirmed that while his head was in cabinet) and doing a check on both my adjacent neighbours that they can get fibre.

BT please update your databases.

That's what I would expect. Once Sky have FTTC then you will be able to order it through them. You could even try twisting their arm now, as we have seen a few signups to it, not just the early trials. Current signups are restricted to 40/2, with rumours of 40/10 and 80/20 in the offing.

Do you know if you need to have your phone with Sky to get FTTC from them?

Almost certainly, like 99.99999%. You can't get ADSL2+ from them without phone, so FFTC without is very unlikely.

... and you have to be a Sky TV subscriber and be on a Sky LLU'd exchange.

I'm now trying to think what FFTC could mean tongue.
