FTTC question

[link to this post]

When the FTTC ISP's move to offering 80mbps/20mbps speeds. Will just be a simple upgrade from 40mbps or will offer them as two separate packages?

Looks like separate packages to me.

They are separate packages from BT Openreach. Whether providers market them as different products or just offer an "up to 80/20" would be up to the ISP.

The plusnet forum has some info on their trial of the 80/20 product.

Asked on the Plusnet (who I'm with) forums, and they said would offer them as two different packages. If they where to roll it out fully.
