FTTC Enabled on Exchange but no more info on line.

[link to this post]

Hi,

Our Exchange was recently enabled for FTTC/FTTP (Taunton) and is now accepting orders, except I can't find any numbers (including 2 of our own) that show any info about FTTC availability.

The post code for the building is ta1 3fa, and a search of a previously leaked spread sheet showed that the cabs serving that postcode were enabled back in nov/dec.

Is it usual for a long period to pass from the exchange being marked as AO (accepting Orders) to being able to place an order?

Cheers!

The spreadsheets don't say when cabinets have been enabled, just the "phase" during which they are planned to be.

Cabinets 20 and 104 it appears, both getting FTTP - not FTTC. Phase 6b, whenever that is down there.

That's all I can tell sorry.

Seriously what's going on with fttp in this town?

Half the town is waiting to get fttp while the other half already has fttc, but unlike fttc when we use the checker we don't even get any idea if or when we're supposed be getting it, it's useless.

FTTP has had alot of delays, average instal time for a house is about 7 hours, the problem is we know little about what the hold up is.
