Fibre is/is not/is/is not available

[link to this post]

I recently moved into a new property.
The line is now active.
I was advised that Fibre may or may not be available, they would not know until the line was connected.

The line is connected and the BT checker tells me fibre is available!!!

However... The BT engineer that installed the line tells me that it is 100% not available for Fibre. He said it was connected to Cabinet 67 on SSSWN - Swindon.

*REMOVED*

Is anyone able to tell me if fibre IS or IS NOT available!!

The checker at http://www.samknows.com says it's available

Also it shows Swindon exchange as accepting orders from this site.

http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/

So I would say it is.. unless the CAB is connected to one of the grey exchanges on the map..

But this is the exchange it says your on and this HAS FTTC installed

http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/SSSWN

Sky launch 40/2 on the 10th and BT will (apparently) have 80/20 on the 10th of Paril

How long since moving in? It takes a couple of days for availability checkers to update to reflect a numbers new location.

If the BT checker says yes for the number, then why not place the order, and then you will find out who is right or wrong. Information people have on the forums will be based on the various databases that the checker uses to feed it.
