FTTC enabled exchanges - interlinks

[link to this post]

Out of interest does anyone know how FTTC exchanges are linked together?

My exchange EMRPLEY is almost ready to go live. OR seem to be putting in a tremendous amount of work pulling in links to a couple of neighbouring exchanges also due to go live soon (EMALFRE & EMLANGL).

Does each exchange not connect directly back to the nearest supernode?

MaxDSL - goes as fast as it can and doesn't read the line checker first.
