80/20 predicted speeds and actual speeds!

[link to this post]

All,

For those of you that have now been upgraded to 80/20 please can you post your predicted speed on the WBC checker, distance from the cabinet and your actual speed once you have been upgraded.

I'll get the ball rolling:

Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 65.9Mbps and upstream line speed of 20Mbps.

I am roughly 200metres from the cabinet and I am currently getting 72.15Mbps Down/ 16.03Mbps Up . Very happy with that!

BT Infinity
300m to cabinet
37.7mbit down / 8 mbit up

Predicted 63Mb/s down 20Mb/s up. Synced at 79984kb/s down 19999up with snr of 9.5 and 14.9dB respectively (Draytek Vigor 2750n). 300+m from cabinet.

Namesco BB Max reporting throughput as 77726 and 13754kb/s. Suspect the Draytek not quite as good at uploads as HG612.

Can't get my IP profile as BT Speedtester not coming out to play today.

Predicted 80/20 synced at 79999/20000.

So far most speed tests are coming out at 49/15, apart from one test that came back at 74/15. I tried switching back to the HH3 just to check that my rather home-brew router setup wasn't having throughput issues but the results were the same.

I'm on the 40/10 service but the vdsl2 router (with hacked fw) is saying the max attainable is 66868/23098. I sync at the full speed with a throughput around 37/8

These figures fluctuate, and I'd suspect them to dip in the evenings

The BT checker reckons 56.4/18

Will keep an eye on it and decide whether to upgrade - the only thing stopping me is the refreshed contract (18m I assume). Not that I'm overly worried as the service has been fine. Mostly as I still have one eye on sky to reduce monthly expenditure.

My predicated speed is 69.4Mbps and 20Mbps. I'm getting around 65Mbps and 16Mbps.
I am around 300-350m away from the cabinet (Openreach engineer supplied that information).
The last sync speed I had was 87522kbps and 21129kbps, but will check again over this weekend.

Tip- unless you're using a shared or public machine- no need to log out.

Your login status is stored in a cookie, the tbb servers don't care either way smile
