No FTTC migrations to Sky Fibre Unlimited - really?

[link to this post]

Looking at the Sky Broadband page they now include Sky Fibre Unlimited as an option but further down in the "Here' the legal bit" it states
"Sky Fibre Unlimited: Availability subject to location and survey. £50 standard set-up. Not available to existing fibre customers except cable."

So is this only for completely new or ADSL customers to upgrade to?
Anybody know if/when Sky may be doing FTTC migrations?

A, I didn't read that bit. Which explains why it didn't offer it to me when I put my number in. Only offered ADSL2+.

Did you find any speed details anywhere? I couldn't. Which is why I checked my number frown.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - Plusnet Value Fibre.

I had the same thing when I put my number in.

I have not found anything, so far, to say what speed they are offering. If they advertise it then it's well hidden.

There was a post on Sky User saying that to move Sky are getting you to sign up to ADSL2+ then when it all goes through to order fibre later.

Sounds like Sky aren't ready for fibre if their systems have still not got this set up.

We placed our order today, ended up being over telephone as the online bit seemed to go mad when we tried to order. We've got estimated speeds of the full 40mb, which is fine for us. Think it's only 2mb upload, which doesn't bother us but might bother others. We were already on Sky so the installation fee was waived.

Funny considering that according to the BT checker we still can't get FTTC! Oh well, our installation date is set up so now we can sit back.
