Green cabinet question

[link to this post]

About this time last year engineers were laying fibre cable from my local exchange 1Km away to another local village. On showing my young son the workers I asked and they said it was for internet fibre.

My question is we have only seen 1 green cabinet which is just outside the exchange ( EALIT), with most phone cable over head, is it likely they will add green boxes or expect the 1Km distance to be ok for users?

Cheers in advance

The fibre may have been nothing to do with FTTC roll-out.

Fibre has many uses, and may just have been upgrades to existing systems, or the link for use with 21CN WBC ADSL2+ services. Or possibly a private internet fibre for sole use by council, school, private company, or rich homeowner.

Currently no plans for fibre services from the Little Clacton exchange, though main Clacton one is down as coming soon.
