FTTC install, no master socket

[link to this post]

We have old telephone wiring with no master socket (we had it upgraded about 20 years ago to allow plugin telephones, no change since then).

Does standard FTTC install include installation of a master socket where necessary?

As far as I am aware, yes, it includes conversion of an old style termination to a new compliant master.

What do you currently have? Can you provide a link to a picture?

Yes they need to replace the master socket for fttc anyways so fitting a new one wont be any trouble.

This was true for me and they also put our Fibre socket upstairs in the room our Router was in while the master socket for the phone stayed downstairs where it was before.

Just to agree with the rest, and as an answer from some one who fits it ..... yes.

No need, trust me, it'll be an LJU (line jack unit) 2/2a or some such.

I bet you just love going to those old gpo sockets, with thirty five layers of paint over the top of them...
