High-speed broadband will bring jobs to Rotherham, predicts BT

...BT's local network business Openreach is making fibre broadband available to around two-thirds of UK homes and businesses by the end of 20141.

I wonder what all those "Mbps2" things are? Seconds as decimal fractions of a minute?

Isn't the '2' on the end there to denote 'the square of' - but only if you've been deployed3 ?
