There's only 6 or 7 live cabs on the Baldslow exchange at the moment. A mate of mine on Little Ridge Avenue is one of the lucky ones.

Openreach seem to have a shortage of engineers to do installs in the Hastings area because the guy that did my install on the 21st June was a field engineer usually working on commissioning cabinets.

Here's mine, about 300m from the cab opposite Hughenden Road. I'm only on a 40/2 service at the moment.

I just got Infinity in Bohemia Road (nearer Silverhill end of Bohemia Road) after hearing a friend of mine being offered it in Amherst Road. Pretty happy with it so far, getting around 37-39Mb/s down and 14-18Mb/s up with a 16ms ping. BT said we should be getting between 50Mb/s down and 13Mb/s up but I'm happy with the current speed, it's a vast improvement on our previous BT Broadband of 5Mb/s down and 0.3Mb/s up with a 45ms ping.

I've just switched from 40 to 80 and getting a tad under 70Mbps down and 16Mbps up which isn't bad considering I was told I would get around 59Mbps down.

Simon did you see the improved speeds almost immediately?

I'm waiting patiently for the ten days to pass but i am not seeing encouraging results from random bt speed tests at 10 in the morning thus far.

I plan on resetting tonight, just in case, then I plan to start placing calls to bt from the end of the week if no improvements.

Not panicking yet smile lol
