FTTC Checker

[link to this post]

There is a link here which appears to tell you when or if you can get FTTC and includes the Cabinet you are probably connected to.

I have no idea if this iws accurate or not sso take the results with a large pinch of salt.

That checker looks at the Dec 2011 leaked spreadsheet that shows if your postcode and cabinet are in the plans.

This checker http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome takes your phone number and tells you if your LINE will get FTTC and the approximate speeds. Only works with BT lines (not LLU lines such as TalkTalk or Sky).

The downside is that neither give very accurate dates, my line has said "30th of some month, some year" since Dec 2010, and now says 30th Sept 2012. The cabinet itself arrived last week, so hopefully will be active soon - the rest of my neighbourhood has been able to order since March 2011.

James - be* pro - 16.8mbps sync - BQM
FTTC cab arrived 18-jun-2012 (due Mar 2011) - Openreach estimate 44.6Mbps / 6.5Mbps
