Openreach preparing an FTTC Cab?

Took this photo from my window:

BT Openreach have been here for two days now, I took a few glances at what they were doing every now and then, not entirely sure what they're doing but they have been measuring and putting in some yellow pipes (not spotted any cables yet, or probably missed it), and one guy in the van using the laptop occasionally.

I've not had any loss of DSL in the time they've been here, and our postcode doesn't show in the spreadsheets due to being a new area.

It obviously can't be for telephone as all the new houses on this road are already connected since 2010/2011, could it be for an FTTC cab?

Looks a bit that way. Odd that the trench the other side of the crossing goes away from the PCP not towards the trench this side.

They don't seem to mind being asked.

Actually, my Dad spoke to them yesterday, they needed to lay new pipes but they don't know if it's for FTTC.

The yellow pipes are just drain rods. Doubt they are doing any fibring as they are heading away from the exchange. wink
