Horbury and Ossett Exchange FTTC Delays

[link to this post]

Hi all,

As have probably happened elsewhere, this exchange has been delayed and delayed to the point at which all the green fttc cabs have been fitted (WF4 6), but, nothing further.

The BT checker showed 30th June, then 30th September, but now shows...

Sorry, you're not currently able to get BT Infinity. This may be because your area has not been enabled yet, or your individual line does not support super-fast broadband. Register your interest and we'll let you know if this changes.

Does anyone have any info on my area, or, could shed any light?

Hoppy

What does the BT Wholesale checker say (best to use your telephone number if BT line).

Talks about ADSL2+ M, but, no fttc.

The area is dotted with the fttc cabinets, but, since yesterday the message changed to the one above.

My town was like that, then there was a push to have it all done. Apart from my estate. Which thankfully is now running. Just waiting on the home install date to arrive.

I suspect you will be Nov/Dec

Theres something weird going on here. My mothers address in Horbury gets the internet from the Ossett exchange and the bt web site stated infinity was available so i phoned to confirm this. Bt said that infinity was available so i have booked an install for the 10th October. However when i asked about my address in Horbury they said it was not available and was due to my street cabinet not yet enabled.Very strange Bt especially when all the cabinets are supposed to have been done in advance and even more weird that enablement is routed for 31st Dec. Ossett exchange has been enabled so whats the delay ???????
