Bowmansgreen - {LNBGN}{P14}

[link to this post]

I'm a newbie here but just wanting the same as a lot of people really - trying to understand when my cabinet might might be upgraded as the Exchange has been FTTC enabled for some time now. If anyone has any info would be great (postcode AL4 0QS). Thanks

Cabinet is P14 and some suggestion that it is available, so need to check by telephone number to get a better idea.

What does https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html say for the phone number?

Hello - thanks for getting back to me so quickly - I'm on a "non-BT" number so can't check the number but when I check my address and/or postcode it just tells me the very poor speed of normal ADSL available to me (the reason I'm waiting for Fibre).

Number of immediate next door neighbour?

Also does your cabinet have its twin installed?

I've just checked several addresses for his postcode and nothing about FTTC for any of them which suggests the cabinets not ready or too far from the cabinet.

He needs to find the cabinet and see if it's fibre twin is installed.

Afraid not - none of the neighbours I know are BT any more (most moved to TalkTalk). What does it mean when you say "have it's own twin install" ? Sorry for the silly questions, just not very up to speed around the whole telephone/exchange thing..

that should be cabinet 14, it was not planned in the December 2011 spreadsheet, so their is unlikely to be a FTTC twin next to it,

In which case its down to the provider who holds the telephone number to help you out.

Twin referring to the new fibre cabinet that usually appears next to, or within 50m of the original.
