PPPoE login details with BT Infinity

[link to this post]

Hi,

I am trying to use a Billion BIPAC 8200N VDSL modem/router as a one-box solution to BT Infinity's two-box modem + router setup.

I chose a VDSL connection. I am stuck at the PPPoE login part - I've tried:

Username: bthomehub@btbroadband.com
Password: BT or (blank)

And:
Username: bthomehub@btinternet.com
Password: BT or (blank)

And:
myname@btinternet.com
Password: BT or (blank)

Both don't work.

What am I doing wrong?

Username: bthomehub@btbroadband.com
Password: BT

Is it set to use VLAN101 ?

I used the quick setup. I wasn't asked to use VLAN101

The settings were:

Protocol: PPPoE
Username: bthomehub@btbroadband.com
Password: BT
Service name: blank
IP Address:0.0.0.0 (Obtain IP address automatically)
Auth. Protocol: Auto

For the myname@btinternet.com you need to use the passworld that wa supplied.

Amd you do need to set the VLAN to 101 otherwise it just doesn't work.

I use the draytek 2750n and the VLAN is essential.

Yes! It works smile

Thanks. You're absolutely right. VLAN 101 is essential.
