2nd Cabinet Query

[link to this post]

Having just looked on roadworks.org for future works they give this

Works Start: 07 Nov
End: 12 Nov

Medium impact, delays possible
Location: O/S 1 MARGARET ROAD
Description: Build 1 cabinet and base (600mm x 300mm x 1000mm),Install 2m of 2 poly ducts in Footway

They question is as they have already installed a Fibre Cabinet, although not yet live, what cabinet are BT going to be installing, as can't believe that they will be installing a 2nd Fibre Cab before first one goes live. Or have BT been told to move the Cabinet they have already put in. Map of Location.
Shows normal BT Cab on right in Bushes, Current Fibre Cab has been installed on opposite pavement, about level with small bush, just before speed humps. Or do i just wait until November to see what they do.

that happened to some of our cabinets, they were already installed and seemed to get scheduled again, but nothing happened.

Looks like they have re-shelled the standard BT Cabinet.

My next question is just out of curiosity, but what reasons would they have for re-shelling the cabinet.

Usually lack of space inside the old one to put the patch panel for the link to the fibre cab.

I can't understand why this one (NDBRO29) hasn't been reshelled, cant be much room in that, the FTTC cabinet is on the corner opposite and live.

Don't think it serves many lines either

So a minimal amount of PSTN connection kit in it?
