FTTC Cosham exchange (Portsmouth) - delayed 31/03/13

[link to this post]

I've been keeping an eye on the status of FTTC for my local exchange (Cosham), originally the date was ~ **/10/12, then it moved to 31/12/12 and yesterday I noticed the date has now slipped to 31/3/12. My local cabinet has been changed and power has been routed to the new cabinet and all local cabinets I pass and notice have also been updated. Very frustrating as I'm running on a 4mb connection with 3 kids all wanting to youtube/iplayer whilst I try and play planetside2 so am keen to upgrade.

Just thought it might be worth mentioning in case anyone else on that exchange checks, wish I knew the cause of the slip and how confident the 31/3/12 date is, I'm beginning to consider virgin.

The end of quarter dates are placeholder or target dates, never the actual.

Have you looked on the OpenReach site for your postcode? If you cabinet is being delayed you can always email the NGA team at nga.enquiries@openreach.co.uk and ask for information.
