Roughly how long to wait now?!

[link to this post]

Sorry folks, but I'm a bit excited about getting fibre-ed up. Our exchange (Great Yarmouth EAGYT) has gone from "Future Exchanges" straight to "Accepting Orders". Our cabinet was joined by a second FTTC a few months ago. The latest visitor to the cabinet was someone from Morrisons who sat in front to the cabinet doing stuff. I walked past this morning when it was quiet and there's no noise coming from inside the cab.

Any ideas how much longer with these clues please?!

Sorry laugh

That's a fair point, but I was driving away to go shopping (This was Saturday) and by the time we got back, he'd gone

The noise isn't much of one. A faint hum if you put your ear up to the vents, that's all.

What does this checker say for your phone number?

Huh, wt*? what has annex m got to do with FTTC ?
If the BT wholesale checker still say's no FTTC but just gives a placeholder date (same as exchange date ) then you could try this site Openreach where & when ( info only correct when they bother to update it) see what it says for your post code , it should give the PCP cab number that you are connected to ,
failing that you could always e-mail them nga.enquiries@openreach.co.uk And they should be able to give you a better clue as to when your FFTC cab will be AO , that's assuming that they are still responding to equiries via that e-mail
So unfortunately there is no way of knowing as to the date that you will be able to order FTTC , maybe get yourself a crystal ball? or ask septic peg or was that mystic meg to have a look for ya

Nothing at all to do with FTTC, but the question asked was what does it say about my phone number. Annex M is the best available service mentioned. No cab information on Openreach checker

I'd rather have seen a copy and paste, but no matter. The reason for this post is just to point out that Annex M is very often far from the best option for users. It is mentioned merely because it is now a standard BT Wholesale product.

But that's a whole different subject.
